Managing Consultant, Client Success

This position will work closely with the Strategy & Solutions Team, Client Success and Account Management Teams to understand market needs, client challenges, create and implement solutions, and ensure deliverables translate into actionable results. The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor to model the consulting mindset and provide training and feedback to the team about how to utilize critical thinking to deliver actionable results on client engagements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Practice Development (20-30%)

  • Develop and improve solution offerings and UASI’s position in the market
  • Contribute to organizational and offering strategy through having a pulse on market trends, industry drivers and client needs.
  • Collaborate across service lines to identify and deliver innovative solutions that create client value through the sharing of resources, knowledge, and best practices.   
  • Lead and support the creation and growth of Mid revenue cycle solutions in CDI/Coding/Denials/Compliance and Risk Adjustment offerings.
  • Create new offerings, based on market need, that fuel growth. Offering creation includes identifying the offering framework, outlining approach, tools, templates and best practices as well as the value proposition for the market.
  • Contribute to thought leadership strategy through a variety of methods including content creation, hosting, webinars, marketing campaigns, white papers, and speaking engagements.
  • Provide mentoring and training to consulting staff by sharing expertise related to project deliverables, client communication, project methodologies, analysis of data and trends, etc. all within a collaborative and supportive structure.

 

 

Business Development (20-30%)

  • Drive growth through identification of new opportunities, collaboration with Account Management Team, and cultivating trusted relationships with our clients by using SME to demonstrate value. 
  • Possess a strong body of knowledge and expertise specifically with Coding, CDI Services, UR, Denials Management, Value Based Care and Risk Adjustment models as well as solid knowledge in overall mid-revenue cycle operations with a demonstrated understanding of industry trends and drivers.
  • Serve as a SME to sell and support the account management team with gaining credibility with clients, crafting proposals, determining solutions, creating the approach, scope of work, and strategies to drive growth of consulting engagements.

 

Client Delivery (60% – 75%)

  • Lead, monitor and evaluate engagements to achieve optimal results, balancing quality and profitability.
  • Work closely within project team to understand and identify client obstacles and adapt project workflow and direction to ensure results align with client goals.
  • Utilize effective project management skills to clearly define client deliverables and establish milestones through efficient organization and project planning skills.
  • Ensure clarity and alignment with client on problem to outline solution and to define approach, key milestones, deliverables and success metrics.
  • Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert to execute deliverables, influence key stakeholders, and ensure project scope and deliverables are on target and margin targets are achieved.
  • Use critical thinking skills to synthesize client input, interpret complex data, conduct gap analysis, and translate that into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active credential from AHIMA, AAPC, or ACDIS and/or RN or LPN strongly preferred
  •  Strong subject matter expertise specifically with CDI, UR, Denials Management, Value Based Care and Risk Adjustment models as well as solid knowledge in overall mid-revenue cycle operations with a demonstrated understanding of key industry trends/drivers.
  • Ability to understand the problem and articulate a solution in a simple, clear manner
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information and articulate a clear recommendation, rationale, and plan to the client
  • Proven foundational consulting skills including analytical and critical thinking skills as well as written and verbal communication, client presence and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills with client management experience and business acumen.
