The 2021 Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA) Annual Convention took place July 19-21 in Orlando. UASI sent Regional Market Manager Brad Allen, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Michael Burke, and Vice President of Corporate Development Nancy Koors to the Sunshine State in order to catch up with Florida HIM professionals.
Although the Convention was slightly smaller than previous years, it was refreshing to get back in person, meet with clients, and hear what is happening in the industry. There were lots of fist bumps and waves to maintain healthy interactions and everyone seemed excited to mingle again.
A special moment occurred when UASI’s corporate staff Brad, Michael, and Nancy were able to connect with one of our remote employees, Benny, who is a coder outside of Tampa. Benny was attending the convention and receiving continuing education hours.
With the FHIMA Annual Convention being the first in person show UASI has attended, we are excited to get back in persona at other shows. Namely, we are looking forward to appearances at the 2021 Southeastern Health Data and Information Conference (Quad21) from October 21-24 with Senior Account Executive Tyler Moore and Regional Market Manager Brad Allen and the ACDIS Annual Conference from October 25-28.
