Our Leadership Team

Ty Hare

President & CEO

Ty began his career with Deloitte & Touche where he gained experience with many large public company audits. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for a commercial real estate development company prior to taking the CFO position at UASI in 1993. He became President and CEO in 1995 and has led the company through its internal and external growth initiatives during the past 24 years. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Frank Kerley

Executive Vice President

Frank joined UASI in 1999 to develop all aspects of the newly created Remote Coding Service line. UASI’s Remote Coding Services has developed into an industry leader, recognized for its customer service, professionalism and quality. As Executive Vice President, Frank is also responsible for the company’s national account strategy, Information Technology department and diversified business ventures. Before joining UASI in 1999, Frank served as a Vice President for a leading national supplier of medical supplies to the healthcare market. Frank is a 1987 graduate of Xavier University’s School of Business Administration.

Michael J. Burke Jr.

Vice President, Strategic Initiatives

Prior to joining UASI, Michael worked on Capitol Hill in Washington DC and then at a large generic pharmaceutical company for 10 years where he ultimately served as a Vice President in multiple departments. At UASI, Michael has managed the Sales team and now focuses on corporate strategic initiatives. Michael graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from Xavier University.

Beverly J. Bredenfoerder

Vice President, Audit Operations

Beverly joined UASI in 1996 after holding key executive roles with regional managed care organizations. Beverly’s experience from the payer’s perspective has developed UASI into the regional leader for medical billing audit services serving an impressive list of nationally recognized healthcare providers. Beverly is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

Laura Barron, RHIA, CCS

Vice President of Coding Services

With more than 30 years’ experience in Health Information Management, Laura is thoroughly involved in the strategic growth and operational performance of UASI and is responsible for UASI’s remote and onsite coding projects. Prior to joining UASI in 2011, Laura has served in many roles in her HIM career primarily focused on coding, auditing and education. Laura graduated from Kean University with a Bachelors degree in Health Information Management and currently lives in Charleston, SC where she is an active member of SCHIMA.

Mary Stanfill, MBI, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, FAHIMA

Vice President, Consulting Services

Mary has over 30 year’s experience in the Health Information Management field, including serving as a Vice President at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) for several years. Mary is responsible for development and delivery of consulting solutions addressing coding and documentation practices. Mary achieved her RHIA in 1985 and a Masters in biomedical informatics from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine in 2009.
