Interim Pro Fee Coding Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Pro-Fee Coding Manager for our available Interim Coding Manager position. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an HIM management or supervisory role, have the ability to be a positive influence on others and adapts well to change. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage pro-fee coding staff and provide direction, training, and support to ensure the goals of the department are achieved
  • Provide productivity assessment and develop a plan of action to improve productivity
  • Manage the DNFB, denied claims, and problem accounts
  • Provide support and technical assistance to staff performing coding
  • Monitor productivity of staff to ensure production goals are achieved
  • Perform quality audits to ensure standards are met
  • Work with other departments within the hospital as needed

Qualifications include:

  • AHIMA or AAPC certification
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience coding or auditing a variety of E/M pro-fee records
  • Previous HIM management or supervisory experience
