Applications Developer Job Description

UASI is an industry leader with more than 35 years in the Healthcare Industry. We provide full-service solutions for coding, health information management (HIM), clinical documentation and revenue integrity. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio we are seeking a mid to senior level Software Developer to join our Information Technology team.

The company has applications that are at the core of our business and provide the same solution to our partners as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). As the company grows, we are continuously enhancing these applications with new features and functionality, with the intention of improving the capabilities, efficiency and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads and performs assigned programming tasks related to new development or maintenance on assigned applications, including analysis, project estimating, design, development/coding, testing and documentation.
  • Collaborates with SMEs to collect demand and understand user needs.
  • Analyzes user needs and impact to other site areas to determine technical requirements of assigned tasks.
  • Manages all aspects of assigned projects and utilizes appropriate management methodology.
  • Promotes strong quality practices by performing unit testing and providing appropriate level of support for user acceptance testing, as needed.
  • Maintains accurate technical documentation for assigned programming projects.
  • Acts as a support resource for the technical support staff to ensure that customer-reported issues are being addressed in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Develops and maintains a solid understanding of the technology tools and trends and remains current in new technology developments and their potential impact on the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of full time development experience in Java Spring and MS SQL Server databases in a multi-tier environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and writing highly efficient and complex stored procedures.
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio and working with Web Services.
  • Experience with Active Reports.
  • Experience coding in C#.Netframework
  • Experience with Infragistics would be an added advantage.
  • Cloud development experience is a plus, including Functions, App Services, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and demonstrating the proper implementation of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred, including knowledge of HIPAA, FHIR, EDI files.
  • Associate degree in a Computer Science or technology-related field. In lieu of degree, may consider a combination of education and related work experience.

  • Strong communication skills with an excellent attitude towards learning and applying new technologies.
